Caught some fish today. Water was very nice early till about noon when the winds came up. Very few mornings like this on Milford. Lake was deserted early till about 0900 or so.When the water is like this there are lots of places you can actually fish because you are not having to fight the boat all day.

As i was fishing different areas and working over spots deep to shallow seeing if the fish have started to move up some. Did not really find any in water less than 10ft. Found fish suspended in areas 6-15ft deep in 18fow or so. Water temp 51f in most places.

As I fished i just kept seeing lots of brush that really needs to be drug out deep and piled up....might try again to see if I can get some folks to help reposition brush. I think it would help the fishing in several areas to congregate them better. So if you are interested in helping pm me and lets get something going soon.

I am asked a lot for where can someone go on Milford and catch some crappie, I am sure most know about it anyway but this area is a good place to start as there is lots of sunken brush in the Rush Creek Marina area in the State Park area. Most of the water in there is 18-26fow. Braid is the way to go in here if jigging but slow strolling is very productive as you work your way in and around.

Dave I'm in for helping u move the existing cover on the bank to the water, have u checked on a State habitat builder permit, I have always gotten mine from the Lake Biologist's. Let me know when and what we will use for anchor weights. DK

Got a call into him presently, hopefully he will call me back soon. I am thinking since the brush is already there I am not putting anything "more" there I am just dragging it out deeper and putting it together. We will see...........it may be a forgiveness issue...hope not but the Gov & permission usually about like oil & water

Better hurry cause I've been crashing weddings
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

So went out to crappie fished and drgg some brush with my new made grapple hook. Both things were less than spectacular. I found fish just could not get them to bite. Water temp 48F.

I did find a new crappie stake bed that someone had put in. plus some guys going catfishing and i think they lost their cast net....I found a really nice one I fished out of the water 2 weeks ago when me and Lonnie went.

I just so happened to have my grapple hook....hmmmm you can fish a lot of things out with a grapple hook
