    Default Waconda Walk #2

Hit the dam at Glen Elder again last night. About 45 minutes before Sundown. Walk trolled for about 3 hours. Dam is getting busy. Saw two guys with limits and another guy with 4. Several people with a few keepers including myself. Mine went 19 and 21.

Solely my opinion and probably wrong, but close the dams and let em spawn.

Just out of curiosity, do you fish for crappie during the spawn?

Sorry not trying to start a war, its just opinion. I do fish during the crappie spawn and the few that are kept are the males all colored up in black. Just trying to do my part of conservation. Like I said, maybe its wrong, irs just opinion.

Not trying to add fuel to the fire but it's my understanding that you should keep the female crappie during the spawn since it's the males that stay on the nest and protect it.....sounds like WOMENS LIB in the fishing world and as far as the walleye spawn it is so hard for me to catch one that if I'm lucky enough to pull one in it'll be going in the frying pan....they are the fish of 10000 casts for me during the spawn and standing on the rocks in the dark has limited my trips to almost nil
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!

For most anglers I believe this is the "Ultimate Goal". I only hope is if you keep them, they are eaten. The whole program was started for this very reason, but like anything else, when money becomes attached to something it is corrupted.
