Finally got boat on the water! Had some work done to boat and had to check it out, looks like I'm ready to go. Spent a little time fooling around with electronics today. I have the old stuff, none of the new fancy stuff.......yet :-) I have an Elite 4 DSI I'm going to put at the console but haven't had time yet. Right now I have a LMC 525 DF at the console and I really like it. I have a LMS 520c at the bow and when I compare screens between it and the 525, the 520 seems to have a lot of clutter on it. Like the surface clarity is bad. I checked the setting between the units and they are exactly the same. The only difference is my 525 at console is connected to transduce on transom. 520 is hooked up to my minn kota with US2. Is that causing my cluttered screen?

Turn off one unit and see if it goes away. If so you have cross talk.

Never thought of that, and what if that's the case?

If you have cross talk you will need to turn off the console unit when using front finder. Take transducer for front unit with you. Just disconnect cable to troller and hook up regular ducer let it down in the water by the cable and see if that makes a difference if your not having cross talk. Found on my Eagle 500c that had to really change sensitivity settings when I hooked it to terrova.

can try adjusting the settings on the "cluttered" one to reduce the crosstalk some (on the assumption you have crosstalk)

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

To remove the crosstalk, turn your front transducer to 83 and leave your back unit to 200. This will change the frequency and your crosstalk will be gone. If you need any help, call me at 3163230010. Sorry I didn't help more the first time but I was typing on my phone.
