Default Cold & Bright on Milford

Worked hard most of the day, Spot to spot, deep and shallow, water temp 36f.....even broke down and fished where the electronics told me too instead of where I wanted to. Found several places that looked like crappie on the electronics but no takers. I saw fish and the ones I saw were in about 25 to 36 fow. Just using jigs.

So after 5 hours of solid effort but an empty live well I decided this was the perfect time to just go all over the lake and doing nothing but scan structure and mark way points. I hit ever place I could remember even seeing anyone fishing to get a good bottom scan and the structure around it as well as lots of other areas.

Came away with a lot of information and had a really good day just being on the water trying to learn to use my electronics better. Really need to wash that boat.......

Good time of year to do that it is weird how the bite slows down sometimes in that cold water given the fact that not much has changed in the environment since last time out. Is water temp increasing at all much?

I bet the bottom of the boat is clean now, just have to wait for a windy day to clean off the sides.

A day working on the water still beats a day working anywhere else.
