    Default New guy from Manhattan

Hello everyone, I just joined this site last night. Looks like a great place to learn a ton and meet some knowledgable people! I currently go to Kansas State University, and live just west of Manhattan. My true passion is bowhunting but the crappie bug bit me pretty hard last year, so I am trying to learn as much as I can to increase my success. I have always wanted to fish from a boat, but I am stuck on the bank since I cant afford a boat with my college money situation. I usually did pretty well fishing Pot. Lake 1 last year, catching 20 or so at a time (just on minnows under a slip bobber).

I'm looking forward to picking everyone's brains, and also getting to know people from around the area!

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.

JD- what's your daughters major? My major is food science, and my dad actually teaches a food science class at KSU. Could be an off chance I might know her, but odds aren't good haha

    Hey iHunt

My buddy and I are always looking for some more people to fish with from the forum. We usually rip up the lakes surrounding Manhattan once it gets warmer. I've got a small two man bass boat but it gets me off the bank, you'd be welcome to join. This semester is more laxed for me, and I've got some vacation time piled up around spring from work.

That sounds awesome. Most of my fishing will be during the weekends because of school and work, but I'm all for hitting the water sometime. Don't expect me to contribute much towards where to fish though, I have never even fished Tuttle or Milford haha. I have Pott 1 pretty well figured out though!

When is the get together roughly? I usually try to go to the bowhunting.com get together every summer in northern Illinois, usually the first week of June or so. The CDC get together sounds like a fun time.
