Default Power Pole for early Crappie Spawn

Have any of you used a power pole for boat control when you are fishing for crappie in shallow water? This is something that I am really looking forward to this spring on my new Triton. Give me some of your thoughts…

Not a power pole, but I use a Minn Kota Talon during spring and fall…couldn’t live without it. I don’t think either brand is bad I just chose the Talon based on its simplicity. It only has a battery hookup and no other additional wires, pumps, or fluid. There really both the same though. I personally have seen a higher catch rate, based on boat control, for myself by using the shallow water anchor. The time it takes to lay out a rope anchor, the disturbance it makes, and hassle of having one more thing take up space in the boat is gone forever with the talon.

    You say deep water….?
What I really need to get, hence a great advertisement, is the Dig-In-Anchor. Basically a bow mounted push pole…lengths up to 12’. This would be the bomb for deeper spots and a crappie fisherman’s single most used fishing accessory.

Not something I would deem beneficial to my fishing, but for guides and novices running a TM I could see it being a huge benefit. Guides could more easily tend to clients and novices wouldn't be prop washing the whole area. Jmo

Have considered one but not sure of value for money, as I tend to lay off spawn for walleye on the flats.
