    Default Where the 'Buffalo' roam!

Kansas Buffalo Association had it's annual auction this last weekend at Salina. My brother, Steve, was the president of it till he had his heart attack. My brother, Joe, and I attend this to help, because of his love of the buffalo. Friday at noon, parking lot at the sale barn aready had several trailers to unload for Saturday's event. By 7pm, 580 head had been unloaded, put in stalls, tagged, watered and fed. Whew!!! Most were range herd and was not real happy. The next day started with a excellent breakfast of B's & G's made from buffalo. I was surprised as to how well most looked knowing they had to be fed as the pastures were gone from the lack of rain. Buyers from up north brought semi's to haul back their purchases. At 4pm, all sold and the loading begins. You can tell the staff knows what they are doing as fast as this went. Worn down to a fraz, watched a fine football game with a bunch of 'Cats'. Yep, gave up a few wonderfull days of fishing but it is all worth it. Now back to fishin!!! <*)}}}><

    Sounds like non-stop work!
