Default Soft shelled turtle and snapping turtle.

I move here from Florida, I use to catch soft shelled turtle with friend all over the river and ponds. I have no been catching or try to catch any in kansas. My 8 year old son saw some picture and are interested in seeing how we catch it. My question is that, where in kansas can I catch soft shelled turtle or snapping turtle? I live in Overland Park and would like to find some where close. Anyone here knows? Thanks.

Turtles / Fishing Regulations / Fishing / KDWPT - KDWPT

Not sure about Kansas but, Alligator Snapping Turtles are protected in many states. Common Snappers are different.
