    Default Kingman SFL 12-Aug-2012

My co-worker Tim and myself left my house at 3:30am and made it to the lake at 6:00am. Found the North boat ramp and had the kayak in the water ready to go just as it started to get light! Having never seen or fished Lilly pads before I got very excited as they were everywhere! I fished top water with a X-Pop and a duo-prop bait, tried a clackin rap and diamond shad as well as a big swimbait with no luck! A couple of other small boat were there as well and I didn't see anyone catch anything? Tons of small fish just under the waters surface and a few big blow ups but no luck for us!
Water was very shallow and muddy with less than 3 inches of visibility!

Way to go, Joe. There's always another day. There used to be a time when OSFL or Bennington had lillies, last year there were none in the middle, just some around the edges. It's was a good time picking the pads. I haven't been there this year, but last year it seemed the quality of the water dropped without them. Maybe someone else knows, if not I might have to take a look. By reading your post you might just have a good time.
