Default Walleye trip to the Glen

Monday on water 1000 fished hard, fought wind did not have a bite quit at 1600. Tuesday on water 0545 just breaking light. Favorite Walleye spot yield bunch of 4 to 10 pound channels 4 short wallies one keeper wallie wind came up and blew us off lake at 0930, packed up and went to Kirwin. Fished till 1400 caught one keeper eye, had about three other bites. Not much, tried to find some crappie on brush but no luck there either. Going to turn in my fishing card i think. We just could not find any fish, we scoped a lot of lake with the HDs-10 and did not see anything. Best thing of the trip was Tuesday morning cool no wind awesome sunrise + stayed at fins and feathers lodge just a quality place to stay and very reasonable if you want contact Mike Riley at 308-390-9370 or [email protected]. web site www.the finsandfeatherslodge.com. Large trailer, two baths three bedrooms, very clean. Can hold up to 12 if you want to crowd in Six folks very easy. Fixed some great steaks Monday night

Too bad with the wind, went back to Melvern yesterday and the shallow bite was still on. Caught several just not as big as Saturday but still managed 7 keepers. Same color.
