bow hunting

hi there,
my name is jason i was thinking about taking me and my brother to yall's wonderful state to bow hunt public land. any info would be greatly appreciated things like do's and don'ts crowded and lightly hunted areas all suggestions welcome

If I were to hunt on public land here in Kansas I would head to the western part of the state. I used to live in and around Hays/Plainville and getting permission as a local is very easy so there is not as much pressure on the public hunting land.

I currently live in eastern Kansas and have not hunted on public land here but judging from the number and types of people in this area I would guess the public hunting areas get hit pretty hard.
