    Default Horseshoes???

I suspected the defense of KU's football team a week ago & although their offense is young & fast,,,, they show a REAL lack of defense. So they aren't gona win much more if any. The Chiefs, what a joke of a team RoflRoflRofl!!!!! 2 games,,, now that it counts????,, chiefs 10,,, opponets DohDohDoh 89???? YoohooRemember the preseason??? Well anyway since I just can't lower my standards any more to root for anything purple or black & gold,,, I have looked to the south and have already learned all the words to their fight song,,,, BOOMER SOONER !!! Even that sucksThumbs Up So Ima tinkin dat I just may take up horseshoes until the REALHands Clapping ball season starts <*)}}}><

Sure it will get better during b-ball season - I am a Duke fan!

There was talk of KU joining the ACC. Can you imagine that - Duke, KU, and Carolina in the same conference?

I can't believe the ACC let in Pittsburgh and Syracuse! Oh wait, for players from those schools to be eligible to play, they will need a letter from their parole officers!

What a weekend. I can say I have really not been able to get into the season this year as much as I wanted to because of the whole conference change up.

Going to be a wild ride this year for sure. I did get to watch the first half of the KU game before we went to Manhattan. I am really impressed with KU's offensive improvement. I think they make it to 4 or 5 wins this year. KSU has got some nice peices but need a lot of work on offense.

Here is the latest I have been told from good sourses at both KU and KSU (AD offices). There are really only two options on the table for both schools right now. 1 and really only option is to keep the big 12 together no matter what. They are looking at adding 6 teams back to the Big 12 after TX, OU and OSU leave this week. The schools they are looking at adding are not real exciting. This is where most of the enegry is being spent.

Option 2 is joining a dieing big east.... No other conferences have been in serious contact with KU or KSU. Not looking real exciting. Lots to still change but my gut is saying we all stay in some form of the Big 12. Again things are changing bye the day and this may be old 4 minutes ago....

It's just too bad the $$ has to be the main driver in all of this. A lot like hunting has gotten in a lot of parts of the nation! Those who have a lot of money continue to succeed leaving out the little guy. Fortunately it hasn't quite gotten to that point here in KS. Probably worse around bigger cities...which I've found out pretty quickly around Wichita.

KSU looked pretty darn good from the stands Saturday. Good to see that we have a 'Bill Snyder' defense again. That Arthur Brown is fun to watch.

Keep us updated Duckman. You just can't believe anything you read online. I wouldn't mind a Texas-less conference.

Wow.... a lot can change in 24 hours. Lots of stuff in the air so it's hard to say what is going and what is smoke. Here is my best guess at all this as of 5:30 today. The BIG 12 will live on in some form, this much is clear. Now who will make that up outside of the the 5 remaining teams is hard to tell. It looks like TX is really mulling the idea of going indy which would pull everyone else BACK into the big 12. This is really gaining so steam this afternoon. Also, if things do fall a part a big 12 - big east merger of some type is going to happen. Lots of smoke but here is my guess in writing is: OU, OSU and A&M stay... TX goes, there has been a lot of back door dealing with the old big 8 schools trying to keep this thing together. Kind of fun...

I dunno...I think that if TX goes OU goes too. Boren really wants out. I then think the ACC will then pick up UConn and Rutgers forcing the SEC and Big 10's hand having to go to 16 as well. Any of the remaining schools would be targets for those conferences as there would be 7 open spots. Any would be foolish not to go either of those routes compared to a watered down Big East/12 merger.

My hopes at this point puts KU, KSU and MU in the Big 10 after they have no choice but to add, with ND giving in or maybe even ISU.

But it all could blow up and end up in the Mountain West. I just don't see the Big 12 making it.

OU doesn't really want out. They want to kill the longhorn network. Everyone keeps saying that is what this is all about. Even A&M is open to staying if the LHN is dead... I would be suprised now if OU left. I really think they want to stay eventhough they are putting up a good front. The big thing is still the LHN, if TX doesn't kill it they will all leave and the Big 12 will implode, if it does die then the big 12 stays as is and starts adding.

To be honest I just didn't see why A&M and OU don't start their own networks. They have the same opportunities that Texas does.

I think there is about a 20% chance the Big 12 survives.

Guess it's all gonna stay together afterall since the big boys got shot down by the PAC. Adding 3 makes me feel much better than having 10
