I was at a trade show in Kansas City. I remember watching it all unfold on TV's outside the convention center and I remember everybody speculating about what was happening and what was about to happen. Everybody was frightened and paranoid to say the least. I remember being scared that we didn't have enough gas to get home and of course we all wanted to get to our families as soon as we could. We were lucky enough to find regular priced fuel and fill up after a half-hour wait.
My cousin lived and worked close to the twin towers, and we were very relieved when we finally got word that he was okay.
I also remember that the following year at the same trade show, it was totally dead. Hardly any of our customers showed up. Their businesses were all suffering because people quit spending money like they used to. In 2001 it was a busy place and there was lots of energy and excitement (before the towers fell), in 2002 it seemed like everybody was scraping by at best.
I am just pullin' your leg.:D
