I usually stop in to Gander just for minnows, they are cheapest that i know of in town, plus usually a good minnow count if you get the right guy. Zeiner pro shop is good also for minnows, just depends what time and where I am around town to where i go.

I think your right there, been in there a couple times and overall I think they're a little steep on prices. I know they have some good sale prices occasionally. I trade with Zeiners a lot more, they have some good deals on bulk plastics and they're the cheapest in the USA on Do-It molds. Honestly, I don't want to go to a amusement park, I wanna go to a tackle store.

In my opinion, there is no way that a Bass Pro will open in west Wichita (I used to live there for 20+ years). Unfortunately, the city cant support it. I wish I could name all of the sporting goods stores geared towards fishing start and go out of business. I personally like Gander Mountain but I'm more of a walleye fisherman. I like their selections. But you're right, that place is never busy. Maybe around Christmas. The only reason I see Gander surviving as long as they have is because of the tax breaks they received from Wichita. It would be nice if both Gander and Cabelas could survive together but I think it's doubtful. Since I moved to Olathe a year ago, I live 10 minutes from Bass Pro and 20 minutes from Cabelas. But I live 3.5 to 4.5 hours from the lakes I know well.
