Default what bait when trolling for walleyes

I just got a boat this spring and am wanting to do some trolling for walleyes. Just wondering what kinda rig/lure I should try. Was out at Milford Friday with jig head and a worm and a jig hear and 4" white curly tail grub but only picking up whites and wipers.

Try trolling the Storm Hot-N-Tots. Storm Lures - Hard Lures

I like the number 5 jointed shad raps=jointed walleye divers are my second choise.Invest in lead core and countdown reels will making deeper water possible with smaller baits. Good luck dont forget to try spinner rigs and crawlers.running behind a 2 or 3 oz bottom bouncer. have fun learning.

We've had success using the Hot-N Tots or even roadrunners if you're trolling at 1.0 mph or less. Once we find them, we often concentrate by jigging with jig or jig/crawler combo.

Ive always had great success with rainbow/clown pattern hot n tots. Original floater rapalas usually are a good bet too

kpflumm - I have to agree with that color. That color has worked well in the past for our boat especially in the Fall.
