Thats the one you recommended to me (if you remember) a couple of years ago up at Bass Pro in Olathe. Maybe the thing that makes it "feel" so good is the fact that for years I used a evinrude 12/24...like driving a tank!! Gives a fellow a fonder appreciation of something when he has used a product that really doesn't hold a candle to it. Luv that lift assist!!

A little off topic but I wish they would create a hybrid trolling motor. Being able to switch between cable and power assisted steering would be an awsome product. I can use my terrova with ipilot in so many ways that you cannot do with cable drive however for tree dipping and to some degree trying to hold over a brush pile tighter in wind for jigging the cable steering wins. If a company creates a hybrid type trolling motor they would be the top sellers at any price. Just my opinion.

Along the current topic I have read that the foot pedals are junk but I hardly use them. Somewhere on the electronics forum I thought I remembered someone writing about how to reinforce them to make them more durable.

B.S. I read customer reviews and one guy had bought 4 foot petals in 6 years of fishing. sSeveral guys had been on their second or third. Man I wish I woulda bought a cable steer or a hand controlled. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They made a SH!TTY product and wont stand behind it. I am boycotting and going to Motor Guide-- Anyone else had these same problems???? Sorry for the negativity!!!!!

BTW-- Then the customer service person had the oddacity to tell me you are supposed to blow them out with an air compressor after every trip!! Maybe they shoulda sold it with an air compressor (LOL)!!!
Hey FG I hear ya, I've got a 12v- 55# thrust w/elect. steering and I'm on my second foot pedal and the new one has already started screwng up. I messed with the old one and keep it as a spare on my boat but like Chatt said it has a mind of its own and I've got to tap it twice to stop it from turning to the left! I want to go to cable steer but also like what I'm hearing about the Terrova w/I- pilot. I had motorguide in the past and had problems with them too and I'm still a minnkota fan but their elect. pedals SUCK!
