    Default New Jigs

Two Christmases ago, while in Destin, Florida, I bought the material for these jigs, and just now got around to using it. The material is Puglisi Fibers, and is very popular for saltwater use. Now I don't think these two ties do the material any justice, but you can see how the stuff has possibility. Also, the jigheads I have throw the shape off, so if one tied this material on a minnow head rather than a ball head, he would probably have better results. The spot was applied with a Sharpie. Regardless, I think a crappie would try to eat this jig, and it resembles a threadfin shad.

    JSC,

no sir. I found it at the Orvis shop in Destin. I was blown away when I walked in there and saw the baitfish patterns they had that were made with this material and then I bought some. It was real expensive, but probably because I bought it from Orvis in Destin.
