"Try you tube Mike" But maybe i can help for tonight" Start by tying in your narrow end of the hackle so that the widest end lays across the back of your hook shank"widest end above the head of your jig head then tie in the chenille ,wrap and tie it off"then just barber poll your chenille back to the head of the jig tie it off you should get close enough to give ya an idea what i mean"But try palmered hackle fly tying as key words for "you tube"they are much more informative for ya buddy"I got the happy pills work'n on my head from my toof ache tonight"he"he" Look for your new custom chenille in the mail Tomorrow Or Sat. at the very latest Chief:D"Til then Tight Lines buddy

You are getting better,Grubs.Quality hackle makes a big difference when you wrap those buggers.Get a good grizzly neck and you'll notice a big difference in the way it wraps.Lot's of good advice already been given.Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!

Shoot Grubby if you want to tie one up that looks like Christmas Easter and Mardi Gras wrapped around the Forth of July then crank up the volume rip off the knobs and have at it. You only gonna dance in this shindig one time make it a shooooooooooow to remember. Might be there is a giant crappie down there what can't see too good and he been waitin on that light show for years just so he could eat it up. He might jus weigh in bout 7-8 lbs and yo mama would be beamin down and sayin to all them other angels up there, "Thats my boy right there. See what a barn door slab he done drug up with the "light show jig" he made right by his self. I'm so proud I might pop"....you don't know it till you throw it.....so jus go fo it..........brim

Dang I must have missed this thread earlier. Johnny Come Lately as usual :D.

Yeah I'd say there is a lot going on with your jigs. Lot of materials and lots of colors, but that's your style man. All of your jigs that I have seen use a lot of different types of materials and are of very different styles and I don't think that is a bad thing at all. You have introduced me personally to patterns, materials, and sources of materials that I would have otherwise not cosidered (cat toys :D:D).

As far as using a lot of materials goes on jigs, under water, particularly if fished steady under a bobber, the materials tend to loosen up and spread out from each other. You never know if you got a good idea until you try it out. That was one thing that I liked about the Devil's Ridin Horses you submitted to a previous swap. That was one of the craziest jigs I had seen in a while, but the gills like it and they are in my jig box today and are going back in the water tomorrow.

All that to say, I like those jigs. My favorite ones are the one with the green head and the one with the Suzy feathers. And if they were mixed in a tall heap of other jigs I could point each of them out as Grubfarmers .
