Where do i find glow chenille? Do they make glo marabou or any thing to make a glo tail? I have seen this on here before but cant find it.

i know they make glo skirts that we cut up to make glo tails

I just got a 6 pack of glow flashabou (6 different colors) from ff46.

You can use a glow in the dark wig for tailing material.

Got a sampler from Grandpa Bob with the glow in the dark (5 colors) chenille. Forgot to place the order - thnx for the reminder.

Had a place to get thread but can't find it right now.

im looking for the chenille also. the marabou was a shot in the dark. Where do you get the glo skirts???

I didn't like the glow flashabou either as it curls up too much and not bright enough for me. On my glow jigs I pretty much quit trying to make the tail Glow and I don't think it makes that much difference. However my glow jig are a lot brighter than any chenille or glow yarn.

Oh and when I caught that 17" crappie last year on a dark green hackle tail on a glow jigs (during the day I might add)I figure that was enough for me about the tail glowing or not.

I don't think you want a glow tail. The body glowing will give off shadows and odd effects with a normal tail that should work fine. I have used a lot of glow stuff over the years and never had to add something to the tail for a glow.

And I third that glow flashabou is junk, didn't hold a charge worth a darn and was not bright at all.

I don't know where to get glow in the dark chenille but "Glo" Chenille is available from Bob on here if I remember right, don't remember user name, and flatfish might be able to get you some.

I use a glow lace material for making glow in the dark jigs and flies. With a good charge it glows for an hour at least and that is as long as I can see it glow. Fish might see it longer.

I have seen some where on the net someone had glow jigs tied and had glow chenille. From what i could tell it glowed really good. You could make out the spins in the chenille and everything. the tying bug has bit me hard. this yoear alone got over 7000 jigs under my belt. Just looking for something new to tie and get started this way. A new trend i guess. thanks for the information so far guys.
