    I think if you go to the main page of the jig forum there is a sticky post that says for new tyers. check that out i belive they have you tube videos linked there that help with the whip finish. also check out the ones that say easy jig or something like that the guy does a hand finish. hope this helps

    There is also one called 3 ways to finish it shows the diffent ways to put the finishing touch on the jigs, whip finish is really pretty easy once you do it once or twice even by hand but the tool makes it so much nicer and easier

    I tried the tool and ended up chucking it against the wall hands is much easier

    I think this is the first I would have to disagree with you, since I got the right one it has made my life easier, thread was always getting hung up on the rough spots on my fingers. Now if I played checkers all the time like someone I know my hands would be smooth as a babies behind and I wouldnt have that problem. :D:D

    But since using the tool my whip finish has been some much better and it also looks allot better and tighter, I like the tool but it is just as quick using your fingers
