Wow......I have been gone for a couple of days and logged on and saw this response to my problems with the little jigs..THANKS YOU GUYS.... I will be more specific with everybody's comments

Attica fish...I have been trying to tie a good base like the links on the site told me to...start in the middle of the hook shank wrap to the head back wrap over that past the starting point trim the tag and start tying in the materials. It has worked like a charm until now. I have been putting finger nail polish on at this point and have been getting mixed results..some turn out good some stink.
Saline lake....I am tying multiple color jigs so have to tie in small bunches and layer so I'm thinking must be something else wrong.
Fish 4 all...I am using embroidery thread like always. I have found it to be small diameter strong and very vivid colors..it is not waxed however and this might be part of the problem
Fatman...practice practiced practice is what ai'm doing I just wish it wasn't all on the same dang jig head. I tie then cut then retie then cuss then cut retie cuss and...well you get the picture
Jiggin joe....you and Illigiller were my two biggest hopes. I know you guys tie jigs exactlly like I want to tie. That is the look I want....small tight neat colars nice tail flair neat head. you guys tie some really good looking little bitty jigs. I am a stubborn man I want what I want and dag nabbit I will get it or die trying. You will get the pm cause I need the secret...Lord knows I need the secret.
Uncle Grump....I am no friend to kip tail at the moment either. I saw a calf the other day and all I wanted to do was slap it in the face. I have tied with deer hair and I like it alot. I have tied up a few of the 1/100 oz with it and it works great...it is just a little bit more stiff than what I am looking for but I may go to it just because of the ease in tying with it.
Redear...I have so many wraps of thread on some of those jigs the collars are bigger than the heads. I don't like that look even though it does work better. Did I mention that I am stubborn? I will get them looking right or go nuts in the effort.
Skip...Yes they are tiny but they are a blast to fish with. Poor old Doc Crappie is trying to teach an old dog a new trick bless his soul and I can't tell you Doc how much I appreciate your patience and dealing with all my stupid questions. The allure is in the challenge Skip not so much in the practicality. I could fish with bigger stuff and retain my sanity a little longer I guess but I am hooked on this little stuff for now. I have a tremendous amount of respect for your tying skills skip and your suggestions are well noted.....
.........again guys thank you for all your help and Doc thank you especially for your time and help and correspondance...................brim
