Another trick if your using a spinning rear
is to drop your index finger on your right hand while cranking with your left. Let the line hit you finger each time the bail brings it near your hand. This will momentarily speed up the jig and when the line releases from you finger the jig will stop and fall. This will impart a deadly action on your jig.

how do you use a spinning rear????????????????????lololololololol...lol....b est laugh I've had in a while...spinning rear...Sorry PPgene I couldn't resist. I use a cast or "shoot" and retrieve on all my dock rockets and they are hand tied straight tails(multiple materials) and the crappie around here only complain when it's too late for them(just before they disappear into the live well up yonder). Their complaints do not hinder their taste at all by the way...ask PawPaw Gene about those awsome little spinners he ties up. those things are working very well for me by the way Gene. Another cast and retrieve marvel produced in the c.c mind tank....thanks again for the spinners PPG......brim

You got me good, brim. I'm laughing with ya. Glad to hear those spinners are doing you some good. I haven't really got a chance to use them. Weather has been so bad here this spring, I can't remember one like such. I didn't fish the late winter bite just knowing I catch up in the spring, well what you know, mother nature cooked up a dandy spring. I guess there's always summer. Keeping my fingers crossed.
