No pic (yet), but a recent tie I did was a yellow head, w/ black and yellow kiptail. I wasn't happy w/ the head (powder paint) - to much orange in it compared to the kiptail.

Your jig heads look more like want I was after. They look fine to me.

#1 is a Danville custom,I got from a friend.Ive gotten real close with one from BPS called Lt olive/rust varigated. But the one in the pic is much more chart/orange.

    # 2 is tomato,which I havent found any where

    # 3 Is BPS varigated Blk/yellow.

The powder paint is from an automotive supplier.I bet there is more than a thousand colors available.I think its as durable if not more so than Pro Tec, and is $10.00 per pound, instead of $8.00 for 2 OZ

I use a good bit of yellow and have my entire life. When I was a kid back in the 1950's and 1960's I use to love the old H&H Spinner baits in Yellow & Black.

Now I tie lots of yellow and Fl Yellow. I have it as the tail on my Christmas jig which has a FL Red Head/Green Body/FL Yellow tail. That is also a color Blakemore has had on their original Roadrunner with marabou tail and I have been buying them since the mid 1970's.

I actually like Black/Black Fl Yellow better than using FL Chartreuse tail. I also use Yellow head and tail on my Bumble Bee which has variegated Black & Yellow chenille.

    Anyway that is a few.

    Roger:

I like them, especially #2. If you are looking for tomato seed, then you need to email me, I have what you need. #3 will definetly work at Lake Stamford.

I like them all. I have some yellow I have been working with too. That and yellow with orange sprinkles. I really like them and I think they will work well here for both trout and crappie.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
