Default my dumb question for the year lol

Ok guys you can laugh after reading I wont mind but what i was wondering is do you have to worry about just picking feathers up from ducks and such that are laying around lakes and ponds. I mean do they have cooties or anything that I should be concerned about bringing into the house and giving my family lice or something? Ok maybe its just from my mom yelling at me all my life to put **** down you wanna get lice that has me wondring but hey she might of been right.

Hey JJ. My kids like to pick up them cootie infested feathers everywhere we go! I usually wash them good with warm water and bleach and let the kids use them for whatever. I think you could use them for tying too. Everybody has cooties.

I've been known to pick up a feather or 30 in my day while walking the bank.A sandwich bag in the back pocket works fine.DROWNED them cooties with some hot soapy water, dry and you are good to go.

I usually freeze anything that didn't come from a supply place and then let it thaw out for a few days and then back in the freezer for a while. Each time in the freezer for a few days. Then I put a zip lock sandwich or snack bag with some moth crystals in the area I store them.

Will not take long if you get bugs to end up with nothing but a pile of dust where you materials were.
