Default Getting leechier but not right yet

They are coming along but they still don't look quite right. I think I need a reddish brown head color and a more blood red colored marabou to really finish them off and make them look right.

What does everyone think? I really need suggestions for color changes to make them look more leechy.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I suggest using wabbit for leech patterns: a two or three inch strip of black or olive rabbit fur has AN AWESOME swimming action in the H2O

While I do agree that can be used for nice leech patterns I really want to make my woven/crocheted ones look more leechy. I just can't get the color combination right so there isn't so much contrast, even when I tied them with black marabou the black still contrasts with the blood red body material.
