    I use just the ball jig with no collar for I find them easier to tie on, but gonna have to practice some with the collar for I have some pony heads coming that I am going to have to paint and tie. That will be a learning experience I think for me.

    Doc are the ones your getting have the barbed collar??? You can cut them back a little on the collar if you want then paint and then when you tie them you can run the chenille right to the cut and tie off there.
