Default Need help picking what to tie to sell

Not a major endeavor as I said before, maybe 100-200 jigs a month but I want to try this. Many of you have seen my jigs and I need a consensus of what everyone thinks will. Obviously they will be my crochet stuff but I need colors, styles, sizes and all that good stuff.

If you have any suggestions please throw them at me.

Now I need to find out how much it will cost for the business licenses and if I need them.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Are you just looking for color schemes? I like just about everything I've seen that you've posted so far. Eny Mene Miny Moe...

How about doing one type of jig per month & then rotate them from month to month. Might be something to look forward to in the upcoming months.

Or maybe that's what your intentions are. What do I know?!?!

Works for me, different theme every month. Just have to come up with the themes. Keep me from getting bored with it for sure.

Start with color patterns that are proven winners in the majority of states that have nice crappie populations.

For me personally, these are my top six sellers.

    Chartreuse/Black
    Chartreuse/Pink
    White/Pink
    White/Blue
    Chartreuse/Blue

You need to find out what will sell in your area, You also need to catch fish with some off the ones you tie, To see for yourself.

I wish it was that easy. Here they use worms and cheap Wal-mart jigs for crappie. Have yet to find anyone that cares if they get a quality jig. And the most used jig is a red body with white tail or a white worm on a plain lead head.

Maybe you should just start talkin' to people at the lake and boat ramp about fishin' and the jigs they use. Tell em you tie yours with care and you actually go out and catch fish with them, rather than using a jig made by a guy in a sweat shop in China that doesn't use head cement. I was fishing next to a couple guys a few months ago, and caught a lot more than they did. One guy asked me about the jig I was using and I said I made it. Then the guy wanted to buy some, and I said I couldn't because all I had were the jigs in my box and didn't have any more materials. I wish I would have got the guy's number and tied him some because this poor college boy could use all the $ he can get. But anyway, that is how I would work it...

It is that easy, If the jigs you tie catch fish word of mouth will take over, But you must prove them to yourself first.
