Silver white or blue maybe even a light gray or a combo of any three. Stay back and cast past them and pull the jig through. or use a float with a jig cast past them and pull slowly back to them.

When using plastics in the past, I've been able to catch them in clear water on a bright day using a clear plastic with some glitter flakes. Also use a 1/32 oz jig head and very small 3/4" plastic. I saw someone yesterday using a flyrod with a "brim killer" from wallyworld. Its a black ant body with white rubber legs and sinks slowly. He caught a few in front of me where I couldn't get a bite.
