Well going through my old magazines, I came across an old Field and Stream fishing annual and it had an article on spun deer hair mouse's. Well I ain't very good at spinning or stacking deer hair and worse I did it on some jig heads. They are on 1/8 oz ball and 1/4 oz darter heads. My camera skills leave a lot to be desired but I got the size thing down finally. Laugh at will :p:p

I am not seeing them very good, but from what I do see I think they will catch fish!
Good Job as I know how hard spinning deer hair and the trimming really is. Takes a lot of practice.

Just tied them so don't know LOL. Gotta wait for all that hard water to become liquid again. But I was thinking 6 lb. they're only 1/8 & 1/4 oz heads.

Have tied some deer hair bugs in the past, and a mouse inclued, and even caught a 5 lb. largemouth on the flyrod mouse i day in a farm pond. And yea they can be hard to tie, but the more you do the better they get.
Just wander how fast those jigs will sink, deer body hair does float you know.
What I could see, they look good
I had the same thought on how slowly they will sink. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the deer bugs float because they hold air bubbles inbetween all the hair, similar to the hackle on a dry fly? I didn't know if all the air would come out when they start to sink. I like the idea, have been trying to make a shad profile one, and I really can't get it to work on anything smaller than 1/8 - just not enough room to work.
Man I sure hope Flat get's My eye-ball's in soon it's gonna be though swimming through those crappie infested water's not being able to see the agressor coming! "O" you poor little big-mouth shad daddy got your eye's coming you'll look pretty with gold and black.
