Baitfish I've observed have a light color belly and darker back. Does reversing the colors on your jigs work better for you? Your ties look like professional grade.

Well a friend (status is pending) is going to Dale Hollow without me!@! Some nerve he asks me to tie up some jigs from one's he has. Well I think the tails are too long but that's the way he wants them so!!
Plus it shows I really do know how to tie LOL. My son finally sent me the digi back and the photo's show as the photo's are perfectly clear NOT

Myself I'd switch them but that's how he wanted them so that's how he got them. Been tying jigs a long time and always like to make a neat tie. Thanks

Nice work. I am new to this site, but I am seeing a lot of the dark/light hair or hackle schemes.... and I guess I am pretty well into one color at a time. I get the idea of the back and belly of the baitfish look.... does this really catch more fish? I must be boring, as my favorite jig just has black hackle. No 2 tones in my box I tend to stick with one color...thinking all the pazazz is more for catching fishermen than fish. Do I need to go back to jig tying school?
