The collar is there for my crochet and for other reasons. For the crochet it means I don't have to use as much material to get the look I need. For jig tying, the same thing. Larger base for making larger bodies toward the head.

Oh and yeah they are kind of large, but not sure if that is the fisherman talking or what since the fish have not see them.
This is true. I guess it can't hurt to try a couple with these big eyes. I am gonna get some smaller ones simply because I am not sure I can glue these to the jig head. I think a round 5mm will work a little better and will be easier to glue on. Or maybe some holographic tape cut to shape will work better.
