    Default New Age Chenille

I have tried 4-colors of the new Age Chenille and it is not bad.The only thing if you get some you need to order the Large size because it is the same size as #2 or medium in other chenille brands.
The colors are from left to right:
Dark Chocolate -Cayenne- Midnight Fire-SS Fancy!
The SS Fancy is what I used on my jigs in The JIG SWAP #5

I have found that all new age is not equal. Even from the same supplier, some is loose and requires too many wraps to make a decent body. But for the most part it's good stuff! Like Len said, it tends to run a bit smaller than regular chenille.

I like Leprechaun, it's a brownish with green tinsel. When wrapped and wet it gives off a green tint that really works well here in West Texas waters.

A #3 new age chenille will work well on 1/32 and 1/16 jigs.I have some #2 and #3 and that covers everything 1/16 on down. Some neat colors aren't they.I'm going to start buying skeins in several colors.I have samples sitting on my desk right now and the midnight rainbow is awesome.I'M DEFINITELY GETTING SOME.

Some more of my favorites on the new age: Volcano is to orange what the SS Fancy is to chartruese. Very bright and vibrant. Payoff is a thicker chenille with pink and blue blended. White Pearl is very irredesent and makes the VERY BEST white body jig. I personally fish more gray jigs made with the new age Gray Pearl. It's not on my Riverborn chart, but I order it from index. It comes as close to imitating a shad's body as anything I've tried.

It's like a kid going to a candy store with this stuff. Lot's of goodies.
