First of all, those are some good lookin jigs
Second of all, I have always been careful to tie them with lighter colors on the bottom, as they would appear naturally while swimming or whatever. But your reason for tying them opposite makes sense. I'll have to try that. Thanks for sharing

guys these are 1/16 minnow heads poured on a size 4 gold sickle,bucktail is the dressing.
I always put my secondary color on the bottom and here is why:If you ever watch a bait fish die in the water it will turn upside down or side ways then try and dart back upright so in a jigging action that is what Im trying to represent so the darker color or lateral line if you will would be on bottom,just my thoughts on that.
