I saw a post while doing a google search for a 1/24 ounce jig. This is a great site for crappie lovers.
I recently purchased tools and supplies for making my own jigs. I've been wanting to do this for years. I have quite a bit of time on my hands at the end of the work day. I couldn't think of a better way to spend it. I'm amazed at the variety of jigs shown on this site.

Question; I bought a 1/32 ounce mold and modified it to a 1/24 ounce mold. I'm close, but not sure how close. I saw the video telling how to do this. They mention a weight for a 1/24 ounce jig. what type of scale will measure something so light, where can I purchase one?

If you can't find anything with that resolution try weighing 24 jigs - should weigh 1 ounce.

The decimal conversion for 1/24 is .0416.

    Feel-N-Crappie,

Welcome to the site. I don't have any suggestions about the 1/24 oz jigs, jus wanted to say hey. There's a lot of great info on here.

Welcome aboard! I reckon Ledhead has it right. Weigh 24 and should be an ounce, give or take a smidgen.

Welcome from Alabama. A gunpowder scale is pretty accurate. If you know a pharmacist and can get ahold of their scale it too is pretty good.

A gun powder scale is the only type I can think of. It measures in grains. 7000 grains = 1 pound, so you should be looking for your jigs to weight 18.2 grains.
(7000grains per lb./16oz = 437.5grains in an ounce/24=18.2 ) The cheapest scale is probably a Lee - AND it is good quality and accurate. Hope this helps.
