how long should the tails be on a jig is there a rule of thumb? or a gauge that i can buy or make? :D

Are those airbrushed or hand painted. Great looking jigs. What style mold did the ones on the right come from ?

Some people advise to make your tail extend past the hook the same length as the jig hook (not counting the head). Some like their tails a little shorter and some a little longer. I'm pretty sure that's the rule I've heard passed around. If not I'm sure someone will correct me. :D Also, they might be able to explain it better than I did.
