    Default Cleanliness????

How in the world do you guys tie marabou jigs and keep everything clean??

I used to tie in the basement when I lived at home, but having since moved out, I don't have an out building or basement, and I doubt my better half want's little marabou stands flying eveywhere across the house. I think I just need to start over from square one with materials that havent been torn apart and put back in bags and torn apart, etc... lol

I keep all my marabou in a zip lock and then I keep the tips after I pull off what I used in another zip lock. I keep the ones that still have some left on it to use on jigs in another little zip lock. I keep the tips mostly to use on flies later. Heck I keep almost all my scraps for flies and jig for later. Sometimes it gets to be a bit much though and I still have little feather pieces all over the place.

I just got done fixing up a place to tie. Kind of a neat set up actually. Agrihawg gave me his prototype jig holder and it works to perfection for my setup.

I haven't tied long but I have found if you pick up as you go it helps. Each jig I reset everything and now its a habit. I put my scrap in a bag...put all my tools back where they were laying...and all. I do not have a tool holder so they just have spots where they lay. That way when I'm done its automatic to get picked up...cause I do it anyways...that helps me. Keep the bags handy...if you wait and push scrap out of the way and such you'll get alot more stuff floating around....just from my little bit of experience..

I've got a little container on my desk and I've been picking up and putting all of my scraps in it. It helps, but I've still got little bits and pieces floating around too.
