FISH FOR ALL, I really like your jigs. You use leadfree jigs when weaving your jigs.Is this a preference or is it illegal to use lead in your state? I'd be willing to work a swap for a few of your baits.I'll trade some of my flash ducks, some materials or even some jig heads.I dyed some tips on some marabou yesterday giving the feathers a two color scheme and they turned out really well. Anything you need let me know and we can work out a swap..I'd like to get a few 1/32 and I'll supply the jig heads.I f interested send me a pm.

    fish4all,
This is the best weave demo I have seen. Where do you get the weave stuff. I fish for redear and that flat weave you do looks great. Good idea on making the wide bodies.

I use lead free because I like the shine and it looks like they will be making it illegal to use leaded under 1/4 ounce here this year or maybe next. That and I have children and they like to play with my hooks so the less lead I have around the better.

I use anything that works. Larva lace, embroidery floss, vernille, chenille, body stuff, flash and whatever else will work in the crochet. Larva lace is by far my favorite to use but is the most expensive for sure. On big jigs it can take 2 stands to finish 2 jigs and that is $1.69 each strand. I need to get my business license again so I can buy wholesale.

As for the method they use on that site, it is really close but I make my bodies wider. I had a series of pictures on what I do but my camera memory card disappeared so I have to do it again or find the card. Wouldn't be so bad but I had 120 pictures so I could get 20 in sequence that were clear enough to show what I do. Gonna get them soon but I am burned out from tying my jig swap sickle butts. I finally finished them!
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
