Most ever critter's hair, feathers, what ever even after drying the skins I always put quarantine them for a while. I put them in the freezer for several days to a couple weeks and then I take them out leaving them out in the garage for a couple days to thaw and hatch any eggs that may still be there and then I put them back in the freezer for a few days before they even enter my house. When they do they will also find I have moth crystals in zip lock bags in ever drawer, bucket, what ever I have things stored in.

Bugs will turn you hair and feathers into dust and that can be costly if you have a lot of stuff.

Example I had a few people giving me duck feathers 2 years ago and I still have them in a separate plastic 5 gallon bucket under my desk with moth crystals.
