    Default A good Mold

    Mornin crappie josh,

The molds I use has all those sizes and I pour them all. Just because up here in Northwestern Wisconsin we have all different depths of water not to mention Lake Superior. The heavier jigs work well up here when fishing that deeper water where as the smaller jigs/lighter line for shallow water.
The mold it self also makes better jigs when pouring all the sizes because the molten lead heats up the entire mold evenly thus, giving you a better jig. At least thats what works for me anyway.

The Pro-101 molds are the best for production pouring a lot of heads, but just for personal use a combo mold like CharlieB suggests might be better. The JNR combo molds are easier for a beginner to pour due to larger inlet gates than the Pro molds & here are your choices:

I'm far from an expert slab man, but for crappie prefer the 1/16 & 1/8 sizes of the JNR-1062. Being able to pour 4 of each size at a time will serve you well in case you decide to sell some down the road.
