    So far - I don't know....

Got a package in the mail about a week ago - a "Secret Santa" gift from a member of another Forum I participate in - the rule at our house is that nothing gets opened until Christmas or after, so I has to wait a bit yet...

    Default xmas

We already had xmas, I got this long round thing, um , I think they call it "The Shaft". Anyways merry xmas to me so i bought my self a a hitachi roofing nailer and then just this morning, I checked back at cabelas and they had mustad jighooks and minnow tubes on clearance. I just bought some of the hooks last week from them for 7.88/100 and were on clearance for 4.88/100 so i bought almost 2000 of each size Ill never need hooks again. I think with the discounts and shipping they were 4.50 per 100.

Thats a neat little dipper you got there flatfish. I though about making some sort of metal one but my fluid bed is only about 2.5" and round.

I'm in the same boat, I've had it mounted and ready to try out for 2 weeks now, but between work and the weather I have not been able to go either. And it's killing me

For the past couple of years the wife and me have chosen not to get each other anything and concentrate on using that money for the kids and grand-kids, me and the wife can get what me want most any time.

We have a tradition around our house, all year long we save quarters, dimes, nickels and then at Christmas time we put it in a jar and let the adult kids guess who much is in the jar the one closest to the amount in the jar gets the money.

They absolutely love that part of the present giving and can hardly wait to get their chance to guess how much is in the jar.

A santa fish sent me a fluid bed and I have just got all the cups fixed that the usps busted all the bottoms out of. I am slow on the learning curve and am just now figuring this baby out. I didn't realize that some colors of powder paint are "heavier" than others. The same fish sent me some cool looking jig heads that I have tied up and as soon as I have time I will try to post up some pics of those..(there is that learning curve problem popping up again). A gentleman posted a thread on here recently about braided/crocheted jig bodies and I have fallen in love with this technique...I ain't good at it yet but I'm gonna be if my head dosen't blow up first from frustration...Reason I mentioned this is cause I consider it a gift from him that he posted up all the links on how to do this stuff...he didn't have to..Thanks to all of you guys in here for all the knowlege that you share with your fellow crappie .commers. Almost all of you have been a gift to me these last few months....Thanks to Skip for all his advise when I first started tying. Thanks to you A.W. for making me feel better about getting in on my first jig swap....what a blessing that has been....Thanks Fowlmood and Flatfish46 for your friendship and PM's that you have sent to help me out with new ideas and to just bounce ideas off of. Thanks to all the rest of you guys for putting up with me messing up/cluttering up your threads with my foolishness...and Thanks PawPaw Gene for your ideas and comments on the "spinners" that you make...I hope all the good people in here have a wonderfull Christmas and God blesses you all REAL GOOD in the coming year...p.s. we gonna need it people......good fishing/tying....the brimreaper dude
