CJ,
The FB3 is the best fluid bed out there. It has a vibrating platform with air pump.My friends use these to powder coat commercially. The cups are 3" so it takes a lot to fill them up. There are a few homemade ideas out there with smaller cups plus TJ'S Tackle has the smaller cups. Here are a few links.https://www.do-itmolds.com/prodpaint3.aspx?c=248
Welcome to TJ's Tackle
I made my own base and orderd a few cups from TJ'S Tackle. Air pump and valve came from the pet store and the pvc from the hardware store. Good luck with your system.

I know who really makes the best fluid bed out there..........................
A man is not judged by what he has done for himself but by what he has done for others.
Cadman has a good tutorial in a ppt format - if you want to go that route - shoot him a PM. Cheap and easy to make.
CJ, Yes I do have a do it yourself tutorial, if you want to make one yourself. I have to give credit here to where credit is due. Actually when I first built mine, I got all my info from LedHed, a great help for me at that time. With that said I can't take credit for all of it, just for the part of making it a tutorial. If you want to buy one that's fine, TJ's has excellent fluid beds.

Search post for fluidbeds you find alot of info!
I've never used one and don't have any problems. But then I don't make them in mass production either. maybe 100 at a time.

Even if you are not mass producing them they help a lot ... a 100 at a time is about the most I do at a session .. better than dipping in the container ... Using the brush for multi color is great but I use the fluid bed for solid colors and for the under coat on multicolor stuff.
The Plans Cadman have will help you save a few bucks.
Hope that helps a little.
