If you are painting jigs that are smaller than 1/32 – use fingernail polish or powder paint. FP has lots of colors, cheap, no clean up, dries real quick, and a lot of over coats. Down side - smells bad and you look funny buying it. I use both FP and PP for 1/64 and 1/32.

TJ’s videos explain a lot. The trick is to get a thin coat of PP on your jig. Pretty much agree with everyone else; you have to have light fluffy paint (shake your securely closed jar) before you dip the sufficiently heated jig into it. A good investment for dipping is a fluid bed.
