I am confused with the term “fancy painting” - I think it’s more about shades than color. What the pics don’t show is the holographic glitters mixed in with the paints or the translucent overlays on the darker upper shades. Not necessarily “fancy painting” but adding more attractants to the lure. It’s pretty much the same reason why all the different body materials, different reacting tail materials are used for the jig. If it’s done for the body – why not for the head?

These jigs were made to blend in with plastic swimbaits. Except the bass pattern – somebody wanted to know if it could be done.

You can do a lot of stuff with those heads..
Not saying they don't look good, because they do. I guess looking at it from my spot tying so many jigs it would take me forever to paint a bunch like that.

No doubt a good job by you doing the paint work with these!
