    Default Bodkin cleaning tip

If you use a bodkin the way I do it gets glue and paint on it a lot. So to clean it take a little plastic bottle (like a Photo film canister or I uses one of the little bottles that the strips for checking blood sugar comes in) fill it with coarse steel wool and heat the bodkin enough so the point will melt it way through with out being a big hole and stick it through the lid and close it up. Then each time you need to clean it just stick it through that hole and push and pull it until all the stuff is off the needle. I sometimes heat the paint on the needle first, but not so it will melt it's way through the little bottle or make the hole in the lid larger.

They sell these and all, but it's so easy and cheap to just make your own that is the best way to go.
