    Charger,

    85% of the time it is red flat waxed nylon. It does a great job of imitating the flare of a fish's gill opening just before they inhale a bate. I HAVE a ton of CONFIDENCE with the red throat on a jig. Other times I use Chartreuse or a color the customer wanted.


    I keep my setup outside in the shed so I don't disturb (mess up) the house....and when I'm through tying for the day I can just shut and lock the shed knowing it won't be disturbed. Today is December 17th and the temp outside is 72 degrees. If it gets cool, I have a heater and electricity in the shed.
