    Hard as nails. (Nail polish.) It works nicely.

    Clear fingernail polish (Hard as Nails) works great. You can buy it in any dollar store.

    Add one more supporter of H A N....I don't know why anyone would want anything else, unless you want a super-hard finish, which I think would be two-part epoxy. It's super tough, but a hassle to mix and use before the set-up time.

    Clear nail polish for me too. Spar varnish is a hard as you can get w/o going to a two part but it cures slowly. clear polish is the easiest to use of any I've tried.
