I know fowlmood, I'm just so slow when it comes to this computer stuff. just got done ordering some more tamiya, in clear acrylic for the top coat and gloss black and light green. the paint seems plenty hard so I'm gonna use their clear and see how it does. just recieved 16 calftails yesterday in pink. fl. blue, blue, black, green , chart. and fl. green, and fl. pink which looks like bubblegum. It is a bit expensive when you consider you are only getting 3/4oz. in a jar, but there is room to add thinner when ya open it.

Do you spray, dip or brush it?

I dipped them, and just touched the dribble on the end against a peice of cardboard, that gets it off of there. I ordered some more, but alot of it is a matt finish, I look for the gloss, they have that too. I recon it wouldn't matter with a clear coat over it. oh yeah, those in the photo don't have a clear coat.

    fatman,
yeah I like powder paint too, this is just a different look. Have been trying to post a better picture of it, but can't figure out how I did it last night, and the wifes tired of helping me, she's busy with real estate.

At least you got a digital, my daughter sent us one for christmas last year and we haven't opened it yet with all my wifes foot surgeries. Maybe I'll break it out and give it a try.

So dipping the jig right in does'nt put way to much on ? I never dipped before always used powder but I like the idea of putting a clear coat of this over my powder will that work to help keep the gloss and eyes protected. I have been using vinyl clear but if you put to much on it kinda makes my eyes look like they melted.

    jiggin joe,
I just tried a coat of the tamiya acrylic clear over top an orange powder coated head yesterday, but it had no eyes, which are usually testors enamel for me. almost forgot, I have been tying some 1/32 hair jigs with unpainted heads , but with enamel eyes, and have been overcoating them with the acrylic clear tamiya, it has done great, but havent fished them yet. I have used vinyl clear gloss too, over powder paint, with no eyes, works good, but the sally hansens clear fingernail polish will discolor powder paint. the tamiya jars are pretty small but the opening is as large as the jar making the dipping job fairly easy as long as the level is near the top of the jar, so I bought four jars of the clear. from hobbilinc
