THANKS JW, It would not of been possible without you and the need for something that you don't see everyday. I hope one day to make the TINKER"S HALL OF FAME...lol. My wife says I am well on my way..lol.
Fatman...the mold is made from barstock alum. and I did it myself..lol. As you can tell from JW's post, I am all the time JACKIN" AROUND with something. Some work and some don't, BUT THESE DO!!!! lol. They just take the best of both hook styles, the short length of a small hook and the wide hook gap from a much bigger hook and put them together in one place. THE JW SPECIAL!!!!!:D

    Grouse

What style/model hook are you using? Looks like it might be an Eagle Claw 571 - but I only find a 1 and 1/0 sizes listed by Do-It and other suppliers....not a 2/0.

    Neat idea....

UG...its a custom order hook that you have to get directly from the factory.
In my first heads, I used the 571's and they would work but like I said
earlier, THANKS to JW, I can never leave well enough alone..lol.
FB...I am working on them in a collarless as soon as I get the chance. Them
hooks are a little cranky to deal with..lol....but I am sure I can come up
with something very soon. I plan on doing that and using the same hook
in the Doulble Duece too. Everyone knows TWO EYES ARE BETTER THAN
    ONE!!!!..

I've seen those type hooks on ebay before, not sure if they're the same thing but look just like them.

Grousefly, weve been using a collarless jig like that for a couple years. The shorter shank hook makes it almost as snagless as a jig with a weed guard. We also found you dont miss many fish either.

Thanks fellers for all those kind words....I just tinker and question and then tinker some more. Once in a while something clicks either in my mind or i have spurred a thot in someone else. Either way the fishing world seems to benefit from it because there is where my love is and has been for a lot of yrs. You meet the best people around conversations of fishing.
