    Skip,
Your work area does not look messy but instead it looks Professional.
How long have you been tying jigs?

Thank you, and I have been tying about 2 months over 2 years now. I think it all started in about April 06.

I have a small table that slides under the table my stuff is on and that is where I cut my feathers and that kind of work.

Thanks, I really like my station and tools, it all helps a lot.

I don't do the spread sheet thing. I just keep all the orders that are yet to be sent out in a folder in my mail system and then I have another one for completed ones. I also keep a spiral notebook here to write each person down and when I ship I hi light that name. Also all the info about colors and number or on that notebook.

Sounds like a pretty good system my friend. I use the notebook system also, but then transfer the data to a spreadsheet to keep a running talley of sales vs expenses.

My wife is the book keeper, but so far I have not wanted to see the expense since all has gone into more materials. I hope now that I have the material it will get better with the expense end. I have a lot of materials both for jigs and flies. Probably too much.

However remember this for me is something to do for real. Once I stopped trading I needed something to fill my time other than fishing and TV. Can't fish all the time so here I am.
