    i have ordered some stuff to start tying up some jigs.heres what i got 3 different cheniles size 0,2 5 different colors of waxed floss 210 denier,salt and pepper flashabou,assortment of painted jigheads,bobbin,cheap vise,and 2 colors for the tail end.also was thinking of using clear nail polish instead of cement.is this a good start and do i need anything else to do this

    I would use head cement instead of nail polish. Also, pick up a copy of Bass Pro's jig tying video. It's the best I've seen. I didn't see "scissors" on your list. You need a good pair of those.

    Good luck! Jig tying's not hard. It just takes a little practice.

    Yikes size 5? What are you going to tie with that? J/K somewhat! I am sure you can use it on 1/4 oz. jigs just fine and not have to double wrap like I do on 1/8 and 1/4.

    Cement and thinner. you need to thin that stuff or it will leave a hard spot.

    I use nail polish, but not on the thread or chenille. Only to clear coat over eyes and a few other things like that.

    not no. 5 chenile . what the 5 was for is that i got 5 colors of waxed floss
